As they walked down the aisle of the ceremony, Da Vinci Photography and Media Worx Video Services captured the moment forever. Flowers for the occasion were provided by Rachel and Karen from Vaz of Mendham with the ceremony flowers being long stem white orchids. To help Jennifer on her special day was her Maid of Honor Michelle Martin and her second bridesmaid Danielle Tyther. The bridesmaids wore an elegant brown dress with pink accents and a pink sash. Long stem orchids and white roses were the main flowers for all the bouquets.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

C. W. had his crew with him too. The Best Man for the evening was Keith Tyther with the second groomsmen being Steven Tyther. Da Vinci Photography was there as they made their vows in church and continued coverage of the wedding at The Arlington in Mount Laurel. Music for the evening was kicked off by “Gup” of Golden Gup DJ Services who played mainly Oldies with a bit of contemporary music. As the happy couple took their first dance, Da Vinci was again on hand to document the entire occasion. For their first song as a couple Jennifer and C.W. chose Elton John’s “Something About the Way You Look Tonight”. The Golden Gup continued to spin music for Jennifer and her dad to dance to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. C.W. had his dance as well as he danced with his mother to “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers.

As the evening went into the night there was only one toast by the Best Man Keith. Jennifer and C.W. chose a 3-tier cake with white and dark cake and matching brown, white and pink icing. Congratulations goes out to Jennifer and C. Warnet

On Saturday, September 18th, 2010, Da Vinci Photography was on hand to help Melissa and Steven start the rest of their lives together!

Melissa Anne Campbell and Steven Louis Parente tied the knot at the Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, NJ. Da Vinci Photography was there to capture this special occasion with amazing photos both inside and outside this beautiful church. Steven and Melissa were very lucky to take photos in front of the tower located on the property; which made for some amazing shots. Especially the photos in front of the wrought-iron gate! The bridal party was also able to take photos with them at the Villa Walsh Academy.
Melissa had two bridesmaids; her Maid of Honor was her sister Carissa Campbell along with friend Sandy Carlin. They were dressed in elegant black dresses and had white roses with blue violets for their flowers. Steven was joined by his Best Man, brother Matthew Parente and friend Scott Miller. Both the Best Man and Maid of Honor gave a very nice toast at the reception which was first started by Aunt Silva giving a blessing.
After the ceremony the party was in full swing at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway, NJ. DJ services were provided by DJ Tommy C of Village Entertainment as the couple selected contemporary soft rock for most of the night. For their first dance as husband and wife, Steven and Melissa chose “2 is better than 1”. Da Vinci was documenting the entire night as they danced and looked into each others’ eyes. Melissa and her father chose another great song for their dance with “Daddy’s Little Girl”. Steven and his mother danced their song together to “The Wonder of You” by Elvis. The DJ kept the party rolling by playing today’s country and more soft rock well into the night. Da Vinci Photography snapped pictures the entire night and was able to capture more memories as the music played on. Some of the funnier photos came from Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” where the girls took on the boys in an all out sing-off!
For their wedding cake, Melissa and Steven chose a 3-tiered white cake with pearl accents and blue flowers across each tier. With a cannoli filling, it tasted as beautiful as it looked! In case you’re wondering, both bride and groom were nice instead of naughty as they fed each other delicately. No cake on the nose! Congratulations to Melissa and Steven on their very special night!
To view some of these miraculous photos, please join us at www.davincifoto.com/online.html and click on the Campbell/Parente Wedding. To mark the occasion, Da Vinci - The Art of Photography( www.davincifoto.com ), was on assignment to document the entire wedding, accompanied by Trish of Videos by Trish ( www.videosbytrish.com ). As always, Jesse arrived at the Bride’s House in the morning to take the Bridal Pictures before the ceremony. Jesse was on hand throughout the entire ceremony and reception, which both took place at the Grand Marquis in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Old Bridge.

Michelle looked stunning in her strapless dress and took a great deal of photos with her family and friends before the wedding. Several photos were taken with her mother and father and also with her Maid of Honor, Elise; who is also the sister of the bride. The Bride’s Maids all dressed in elegant Navy Blue and White with the color scheme continuing onto the tables at the reception. With the ceremony time set for 6:00 pm, the two were married in front of friends and family under The Dome at the Grand Marquis.

After the ceremony, the room was set up for the reception with all the guests retreating for cocktail hour. Da Vinci Photography ( www.davincifoto.com ) continued its coverage of the event by taking photos of the family, friends and guests all before the first toast was made after 7:00 pm. The first thing to notice when entering the reception room was a special cake made for Bill and Michelle’s special day. It features a four-tiered cake surrounded by green, mint green and white flowers on brown branches with a sports themed topper. The Groom is on ice hockey skates while the Bride appears to be giving him the thumbs up!

The entertainment for the evening was supplied by JMC Entertainment and featured classic and contemporary music throughout the evening. They were at the board for the night and played several special requests as the night progressed.

Da Vinci (www.davincifoto.com ) was again on hand for special dance photos throughout the night and the Best Man Toast, given by the groom’s brother, Mike. The toast was a very emotional toast with many of the guests sharing a few tears with the two brothers. Mike Buhler made reference to Bill being independent and how Bill always wanted to support his brother, Mike. “He stands by people always, with no questions asked,” said Mike. Mike also made reference to how Bill was a very “funny” person evening though he wasn’t a funny individual. A special story was also stated about a certain television incident between the two brothers made for a wild night when they were younger.

Mike also went on to talk about their trips to Montreal and how they were “legendary.“ The two have also been to two of the three Devils Stanley Cup wins, which also goes along with the Hockey Themed cake and Bridal Entrance. Mike also went into detail about how Michelle was “the sister he always wanted.” Finally, Mike spoke about the loss of their dad, and how he was severely missed on there very special day.

At about 8:00 pm the first course was served, followed by the main course about a half hour later. Da Vinci Photography (www.davincifoto.com ) worked through the dinner and displayed a slideshow of the images already taken at 8:45 pm. These images are of photos of things like: the Bridal setup, the ceremony, beautiful portraits and various other images. Every wedding that has a continuous slideshow during the night always has a large gathering near the display screen.

By the end of the night, the guests had danced to many classic songs and enjoyed such favorites like The Cha Cha Slide. Around 10:00 pm, the cake cutting took place and both bride and groom behaved themselves! No cake on the face, as people would say. The dancing and photographs continued until 11:30 pm, when the guests and the happy couple ended their special night.

For more information about Da Vinci Photography, or to view the images from the wedding, please log on to www.davincifoto.com/online.html and select the Burnette / Buhler Wedding from the list, in addition to all other portfolios!

"Time & Timing"

This weekend I was reminded of the importance of "Time & Timing". Time has a funny way of slipping away on you. Just when you thought that setting aside a hour to have your photographer capture beautiful storytelling images of your day through portraiture and photojournalism, it only felt like 30 minutes or so and now it's time to hurry to the reception.
Here is my advice on this, I feel the reason this time mystery occurs is that while you have scheduled an hour or so for your portrait session maybe the timing of let's say the travel from the ceremony site to the portrait site then to the reception site was not adequetly calculated.
Typically I would say when figuring the timing of the day and the Time alotted for certain segments, I would leave extra travel time. A good rule of thumb is to double the travel time, let's say your ceremony is 15 minutes from the park, then allow 30minutes. It's better to have extra time and have a relaxing experience than to be rushed. Remember, your photographer is one of your only vendors who are with you your entire day and usually they are more than willing to offer their help and experience in the "Time and Timing" of your special day.

Bella Luna

Once in a while we're reminded that God has created a beautiful world in which we have the privilage to live in. This came to me last night during the marvelous Lunar Eclipse my 10 yr. old daughter reminded me of , in which I woke my two sons 8 & 9 yrs. old at about 10:30pm to catch a glimpse of the spectacular view. I quickly grabbed my camera and although I didn't have the correct equpment available to me I was able to capture this memorable image. I would like to share this image to remind you that in todays busy and crazy world that we live in we occasionally have to stop and take a moment to look around at this marvelous world we call home.

Vision and Perception

Happy Valentine's Day everyone, This is the launch of my blog. I'm not sure where this journey is going to take us, but the one thing I am sure of is that we all will learn from each other.
I have been photographing events for about 24 years and the one thing I have learned is that just when I thought that I have seen it all, something new just amazes me.
Photographing events and weddings over the years has been an amazing learning experience. Watching people as they experience one of the most joyous and yet stressful days of their lives has taught me a great deal about human nature and how we react to different situations, good and not-so-good.
Through my observations I think I have become a better person and photographer because I fully understand their position and their desire to acheive their visual perception of one of the most important days of their life, their perfect wedding day. Everyone has their own perceptions of life, and it's my job to realize their dreams and visions and capture and transform them into lasting memories to re-live again and again.
That is my commitment and my promise to you.
